We’re Hiring – LeftCoast GrassFed Sales Associate

POSITION PURPOSE

• Contribute to TomKat Ranch Educational Foundation’s mission to catalyze the food movement toward a regenerative food system with every pound of beef sold
• Coordinate LCGF sales–orders, packing, and delivery
• Responsible for inventory of frozen beef 
• Communicate with customers
• Create invoices through our SalesVu Point of Sales (POS) system 
• Work under the direction of the Food Advocacy Manager

JOB-RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Overview:

TomKat Ranch Educational Foundation is a mission-based 501(c)(3) organization based at TomKat Ranch in Pescadero, California. The Sales Associate will sell LCGF at the Pescadero Farmers Market (weekly during the summer), pack orders, deliver orders to local restaurants, manage inventory and invoicing, provide on-site sales during events when available, and work under the supervision of the Food Advocacy Manager.

Duties described below are examples and not meant to be an exhaustive or all-inclusive list: 

• Receive, organize, and inventory meat deliveries
• Pack, invoice, and deliver beef orders
• Pack and coordinate Farmers Market (weekly) – set up and breakdown booth, handle cash, credit card, and EBT sales transactions, load and unload coolers and equipment
• Work with Food Advocacy Manager to turn in cut sheets, work with a cut-and-wrap facility, and pick up meat
• Provide on-site sales of meat orders and coordinate with the events team

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with frozen meat, inventory tracking, and sales
• Customer service – both written and verbal

DETAILS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Report to the Food Advocacy Manager
• Flexible work hours, usually Monday-Friday. 
• Total hours per week: 15-20, depending on the time of the year

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage commensurate with experience and education.  Range $25.00 – $30.00 per hour.
• Paid sick days – 1 hour/30 hrs worked
• Discounted meat for employees
